A Little More About Me...

I am a pianist and music teacher. I teach private lessons to beginner students of all ages in my home, in East Ottawa. I teach piano, music theory, and general music lessons one-on-one.

I have been classically trained for over 12 years in piano and music theory. I am currently pursuing my level 9 RCM certificate in piano performance, and I have completed and passed my level 9 RCM exam in Music Theory (Harmony). Although I am continuing my classical training with the Royal Conservatory of Music, I also studied and graduated from Music Industry Arts at Algonquin College in 2021. Through this two-year program, I gained all sorts of additional musical knowledge about the music industry. Subjects that I studied in detail include music production, audio engineering, songwriting, performance, music business, and more. I use the experience I received from this program to teach my General Music Course.

Along with being a pianist, I am also a singer, a songwriter, and a performer. I write, produce, and record my own music, and I hope to professionally release a collection of songs in the coming year. I am also beginning to work as an audio engineer - more specifically a mixing engineer - after four years of studying and practicing. I offer this service to clients like myself who want to release music on streaming platforms and need an audio engineer to mix their music professionally. Along with piano and singing, I also play intermediate guitar, and I'm currently learning to play the drums.

For a long time, I have deeply enjoyed being classically and non-classically trained. Whether it's musical repertoire, music theory, ear training, or music history, I am a passionate learner. I strive to spark this same passion in all of my students.

For the lessons themselves, parents are more than welcome to stay during the lesson.
